COMMUNIQUE DE LA MISSION ECONOMIQUE UBIFRANCE DE CHICAGO/DETROIT

Dans le cadre de la nouvelle organisation du dispositif français d’appui au développement international des entreprises, la Mission Economique de Chicago est devenue, depuis le 1er janvier 2009, un bureau du réseau à l’étranger d’Ubifrance, l’agence française pour le développement international des entreprises.

Le gouvernement a souhaité positionner Ubifrance, au cœur d’une chaîne complète d’organismes ayant une action en matière de soutien des entreprises à leur développement sur les marchés étrangers. Celle-ci intègre en amont les Chambres de Commerce et d’Industrie (détection des entreprises ayant un potentiel à l’export et orientation vers Ubifrance) et en aval, le nouveau réseau d’Ubifrance à l’étranger (reprise progressive de la partie commerciale des Missions Economiques) chargée d’accompagner les entreprises sur les marchés étrangers. Ubifrance a ainsi signé des conventions de partenariats avec l’UCCIFE, l’ACFCI, Oseo, la Coface, les pôles de compétitivité… L’objectif est d’offrir aux entreprises un service public lisible, complémentaire et plus efficace pour accompagner davantage d’entreprises sur les marchés extérieurs.

La Mission Economique-Ubifrance de Chicago fait dorénavant partie de ce réseau à l’étranger d’Ubifrance, actuellement constitué d’une quinzaine de bureaux et qui regroupera prochainement 64 sites localisés dans 44 pays. Une vingtaine d’agents sous la direction de Daniel Gallissaires apportent leur soutien aux entreprises françaises qui souhaitent se développer sur le marché américain.

FRANCHISE EXPO PARIS 2009 ADDS NEW
INTERNATIONAL PAVILIONS, HONORS BRAZIL THIS MARCH

For over 25 years, Franchise Expo Paris has been year after year stimulating the development of networks in France and internationally, giving thousands of entrepreneurs the opportunity to make their dream of creating a company come true.
The next edition of Franchise Expo Paris, the International Franchise Trade Show, will take place March 13 to 16, 2009, at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre in Hall 7.2. This show is the platform for privileged encounters, putting company founders and shopkeepers in touch with one another to go into business via networks with over 400 French and international brands. MARITIME TRADE IN FRANCE: OPENING FRENCH PORTS TO FOREIGN OPERATORS
France, with a long maritime tradition thanks to its extensive coastlines along the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea and the Mediterranean, is now reforming its ports for added economic attractiveness and competitiveness.
Currently, 72% of France’s imports and exports are transported by sea. Handling a volume of 384.7 million tons annually (including 101.6 Mt for the ports of Le Havre and Rouen together, 100 Mt for the port in Marseille), France’s leading ports are second only to European heavyweights Rotterdam (430 Mt), Antwerp (200 Mt) and Hamburg (140 Mt), and offer great development potential.
