L'académie en ligne diffuse des cours d'été gratuits Via ce service en ligne, quiconque peut télécharger gratuitement des cours fournis par le Cned ( Centre national d'enseignement à distance ) qui dans un premier temps feront office de cahiers de vacances avec pour chaque matière spécifique des exercices et leurs corrigés. Ces cours d'été 2009 couvrent diverses matières pour un niveau allant du CP à la terminale. Pour la rentrée À partir du 15 septembre 2009, l'heure de la rentrée aura sonné, et le site s'y adaptera en fonction pour couvrir le programme scolaire de l'année en école primaire. Le 30 octobre 2009, ce sont les cours pour le collège et le lycée qui seront mis en ligne. Le site comportera 700 unités de travail et 3 500 pages avec également des ressources sonores ou iconographiques. Informations complètes.

French Embassy and French Cultural Services on Facebook

The French Embassy’s Press and Communication Office and Cultural Services are pleased to announce the launch of our new Facebook pages! We will use this space along with our regular Web site (www.ambafrance-us.org and frenchculture.org ) to showcase content produced by the French Embassy, Consulates and the Cultural Services. This new tool will also help us communicate more interactively with Americans interested in France and in its initiatives abroad.

Follow the links to visit the page of the French Embassy , and the page of the Cultural Services or simply go to www.facebook.com and type " French Embassy in the US or French Cultural Services" in the Search box. We encourage you to share your comments and content (photos, videos) with all our fans (already more than  600!) and to become a fan yourself by clicking on the Become a Fan link on the top of the page. Programme FLAM : Programme de consolidation du français langue maternelle

L’objectif premier du Programme FLAM est de permettre à des enfants français ou binationaux, expatriés et scolarisés dans des établissements locaux, de conserver la pratique de la langue française et le contact avec sa culture, en suivant, dans un contexte extra-scolaire, des cours spécifiques (atelier de lecture, cuisine, jeux, sortie au théâtre, cinéma, expositions, …) Le programme FLAM consiste en quelques heures de français par semaine et s'adresse aux enfants de 5 à 16 ans, mais ne remplace en aucun cas la scolarisation. July 2nd - 5th, 2009: AATF ANNUAL CONVENTION: L'Education et ses défis

San Jose, California French teachers mark July 2-5, 2009 on your calendars! The 82 nd annual AATF convention will be held in San Jose, California.  The convention is planning a number of exciting activities as well as the usual excellent professional program. CPDUs will be available as well. Tournées Program: Create your own French Film Festival in your University The Tournées Festival Grant was conceived as a program to encourage schools to begin their own self-sustaining French film festivals.

Since its inception, the program has partnered with hundreds of universities and made it possible for tens of thousands of students to discover French-language films.. The Tournées Festival selection is made of the best films released in France in the past year, some of which have not yet been shown in U.S. theaters. The selection is a real reflection of what today French cinema is up to. You will find a wide array of genres. For more information, click here.

Universciné : Free online French movies for K-12 schools, universities and cultural centers In collaboration with the company “Le meilleur du cinéma français” (“The Best of French Cinema”), the French Cultural Services is offering  an Internet portal that enables Universities, Schools and Cultural Centers to access films online and to organize public screenings more easily throughout the US. French Summer Camps in the Midwest: There are a variety of Summer Camps in French and French immersion programs throughout the Midwest for students ranging from kindergarden to high school. Through these programs students can develop thier French language skills while participating in many different activities such as painting, film, cooking, singing and much more! ARTICLES DE LA MISSION POUR LA SCIENCE ET LA TECHNOLOGIE La « nouvelle grippe » au virus A/H1N1 : les évolutions aux Etats Unis en lien avec la filière porcine Le nombre de cas avéré d’infection par le virus A/H1N1 est de 109 dont 1 décès aux Etats Unis au 30 avril 2009. La situation continue d’évoluer avec 11 Etats déclarant des cas avérés de « swine flu infection ». Le Président Obama s’est engagé à une mise en oeuvre " efficace, énergique et coordonnée" dès lors que le niveau d’alerte pandémique est passé de la phase OMS 4 au niveau 5. La phase 5 se caractérise par une propagation interhumaine du virus dans au moins deux pays d’une région de l’OMS. La déclaration de la phase 5 est un signal fort indiquant qu’une pandémie est imminente et qu’il reste peu de temps pour finaliser l’organisation, la diffusion et la mise en œuvre des mesures d’atténuation prévues...
