WORLD DAIRY EXPO -
MADISON, WSCONSIN
|
CINOR 2008, the Normande International Conference for Normande cattle breeder associations and breeders from around the globe, is being held during the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI, Sept. 30 to Oct. 4.
Twelve pure and crossbred Normande cows and calves will be on display in the Le Pavillon Normand (The Normande Pavilion) at the Expo.
2008 is a breakthrough year for the Normande. CINOR is organizing a landmark event this fall at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.
CINOR 2008 consists in the Normande International Conference, a Normande exhibit on the World Dairy Expo grounds, a special 10-day promotion of Normandy products and specialties in a select number of Madison stores and restaurants, and a pre and post conference tour of Normande farms in the Wisconsin hills.
Complete program & information.
The Normande breed of cows, first imported to the U.S. from France in 1974, is known for quality in both dairy and beef production. Normande cows are sturdier than many other dairy cows, pasture-friendly, more sustainable and fertile, plus their milk is rich in protein and buttermilk, according to Jerome CHATEAU, organizer of CINOR 2008 and president/founder of Normande Genetics, Minneapolis. “Normande cows are green and gourmet – green because they do well in pastures and need less grain than specialized dairy breeds and gourmet because their milk is so rich,” says Chateau. Join the Alliance Française for a luncheon and conference with former Ambassador M. Jacques Andréani on Free Trade, Market Economy and Globalization. |
M. ANDREANI will discuss the following:
Do the French accept free trade and the market economy? Strangely, in France today, the word "liberal" carries a less positive meaning than in other countries. In fact, the French are more irked by the word than the idea, which, basically, they do accept, albeit without any great enthusiasm. Contemporary French people realize that free trade and the market economy represent the necessary path towards economic progress, but it is a rational and not an emotional choice. |
