Veolia signed a 34,500-sq.-ft. lease in the Aon Center (200 East Randolph Street) beginning earlier this month, and occupies one floor overlooking Lake Michigan, downtown, the Gold Coast and Millennium Park. Veolia's new headquarters builds on a base of approximately 1,000 local employees and combined annual revenues of approximately $240 million in the Greater Chicago area and $4.5 billion in North America.

Gourvennec joins 18 of the city's business leaders who help direct WBC, fostering economic growth and jobs for the city. The WBC board is co-chaired by Mayor Daley and Michael D. O'Halleran, SEVP and Director, AON Corporation.

MISSION COLLECTIVE "VEHICULES HYBRIDES ET ELECTRIQUES" :
16 au 18 novembre : Chicago (Illinois) - 18 au 20 novembre 2008 : Détroit (Michigan).

Cette opération, la première organisée par la Mission Economique de Chicago-Detroit, vise à présenter à un groupe d'une quizaine de sociétés (grands constructeurs francais, équipementiers, PME,...) et à deux pôles de compétitivité francais (Mobilité et Transport Avancés, Mov'eo) les tendances du marché du véhicule hybride/électrique aux Etats-Unis et certains de ses acteurs.
  Cette initiative, qui se présentera notamment sous la forme de rencontres avec les principaux décideurs américains de l'industrie (General Motors, Chrysler, ...), mais aussi des start-up et des universités/laboratoires prestigieux dans le domaine de la recherche (Illinois Institute of Technology, Argonne National Laboratories/DOE), visera à informer la délégation francaise des moyens mise en oeuvre par l'industrie automobile américaine pour faire face aux nouveaux enjeux du secteur (nouvelles motorisations,...).
Cette opération se tiendra en partenariat avec le Progamme "Chicago Sister Cities International" et la Ville de Chicago.
