The 400 Blows (1959; 99 min.). Directed by François Truffaut; starring Jean-Pierre Léaud. A new 35 mm print of Truffaut's celebrated first feature, a coming of age tale largely viewed as responsible for launching the New Wave. February 1-7. Screening with the short Antoine and Colette (1962).

Comme deux frères. This play by Maryse Condé is performed in French by Compagnie Siyaj, a theatre company from Guadeloupe. February 25 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division Street, followed by a talk with the author and cast. |
