"Word Made Flesh: The Films of Jean Eustache."

· A Dirty Story / Une Sale histoire (1977; 47 min.). Directed by Jean Eustache; starring Jean-Noël Picq and Michel Lonsdale. A self-incriminating incident told in two different forms, one documentary and one fictional. Preceded by two shorts about describing a work of art: Alix's Photos (1980, 18 min., 16 mm), and Hieronymous Bosch's Garden of Delights (1979; 34 min., Beta SP video). May 25 at 3:00 pm.

· The Lost Sorrows of Jean Eustache / La Peine perdue de Jean Eustache (1997; 52 min.; Beta SP video). A documentary about Eustache and his work by Angel Diaz. Shown with The Pig / Le Cochon, about a pig's journey towards becoming sausage (1970; 50 min.; 16 mm). Directed by Jean Eustache and Jean-Michel Barjol. May 17 at 5:45 pm.

· My Little Loves / Mes Petites amoureuses (1974; 123 min.). Directed by Jean Eustache; starring Martin Loeb and Ingrid Caven. A series of sharply observed vignettes about a young country boy's coming of age. May 18 at 3:00 pm; May 20 at 6:00 pm.

· The Mother and the Whore / La Maman et la putain (1973; 215 min.). Directed by Jean Eustache; starring Jean-Pierre Léaud, Bernadette Lafont and Françoise Lebrun. Eustache's talk-heavy, four-hour masterpiece about a young, self-absorbed Parisian intellectual and the two women in his life. May 24 at 7:00 pm; May 28 at 6:30 pm.

· Numéro Zéro (1971; 104 min.). Directed by Jean Eustache. A lengthy interview with the director's grandmother provides a journey through pivotal events of the 20th century. June 3 at 6:00 pm.

· Santa Claus Has Blue Eyes / Le Père Noël a les yeux bleus (1966; 47 min.). Directed by Jean Eustache; starring Jean-Pierre Léaud. A loser discovers he is more attractive to the opposite sex when dressed as Santa Claus. Screened with the film below. June 1 at 3:00 pm; June 5 at 6:00 pm.

· Robinson's Place / Du Côté de Robinson (1963; 42 min). Directed by Jean Esutache; starring Daniel Bart and Dominique Jayr. Two arrogant young men hit on a jobless woman. Screened with the film above. June 1 at 3:00 pm; June 5 at 6:00 pm.

Playtime (196; 124 min.). Directed by Jacques Tati. A favorite of many critics, Tati's dialogue-less film follows Mr. Hulot as he wanders around Paris navigating through modern architecture, design and materials. May 3 at 3:00 pm; May 7 at 6:00 pm. "Children of Paradise: French Films of the Occupation and post-war period"

· Goupi mains rouges (1943; 104 min.). Directed by Jacques Becker; starring Fernand Ledoux, Georges Rollin and Blanchette Brunoy. A naïve city clerk vacationing in the country uncovers dark goings on. May 6 at 7:00 pm.

· Le Ciel est à Vous (1944; 105 min.). Directed by Jean Grémillon; starring Madeleine Renaud and Charles Vanel. A female pilot attemps to break the world solo flying record for women. May 13 at 7:00 pm.


· Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne (1945; 84 min.). Directed by Robert Bresson; starring Maria Casares, Paul Bernard and Elina Labourdette. A society woman manipulates her cheating lover into marrying a prostitute. May 20 at 7:00 pm.


· Le Silence de la Mer (1949; 88 min.). Directed by Jean-Pierre Melville; starring Jean-Marie Robain, Nicole Stéphane and Howard Vernon. In occupied France, a man and his niece are forced to share their house with a German soldier, who each night reveals his life's ideals to them. May 27 at 7:00 pm.


· Les Parents terribles (1948; 105 min.). Directed by Jean Cocteau; starring Jean Marais, Josette Day and Marcel André. A dark comedy about an overprotective mother and the son who is about to marry. June 3 at 7:00 pm.

Les Choristes (2004; 96 min.). Directed by Christophe Barratier; starring Gérard Jugnot, François Berléand and Jean-Baptiste Maunier. A music professor teaches delinquent orphans in a post-war boarding school how to sing. May 14 at 7:30 pm (video projection).

Roman de Gare (2007;103 min.). Directed by Claude Lelouch; starring Dominic Pinon, Dana Audrey and Fanny Ardant. The disgruntled ghost writer of a glamorous novelist, who may or may not be a recently escaped serial killer, gives a cross-country ride to a distraught young woman dumed by her fiancé at a service station.

Priceless / Hors de prix (2006; 104 min.). Directed by Pierre Salvadori; starring Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh. A Riviera gold digger seduces a smitten hotel valet then teaches him the subtle art of high class male prostitution.
