“Young Entrepreneurs Initiative” (YEi) is proud to kick off its 2013 competition. This French American program will award 12 promising innovative American startups looking to explore business development opportunities in France and Europe.

THE 2013 COMPETITION: 12 PRIZES, 2 CATEGORIES
This year, YEi increases the number of prizes and doubles the chances for the candidates to be selected. YEi will award 12 laureates within 2 categories: National prizes and Regional prizes.

  • NATIONAL prizes: 5 laureates
    - 1 week business tour with customized accelerator program, qualified meetings, and a dedicated team of French
    experts and mentors
    - 1 laureate will be chosen to receive the “ Air France Sustainability Award”
  • REGIONAL prizes: 7 laureates
    - 1 week soft-landing immersion in a French incubator or Business Innovation Center (BIC) member of RETIS, the French Innovation Network
  • ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BOTH CATEGORIES
    - A pre-trip training in Boston
    - 1 year individual coaching
    - 3 month trial in a French incubator or Business Innovation Center sponsor of YEi
    - Transportation to Paris provided in part by Air France and the French Consulate in Boston

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
YEi is looking for innovative American startups. Any entrepreneur, regardless of age, nationality or professional situation may participate in this call for proposals as long as his or her startup/project complies with the eligibility requirements listed below:

- Applicant - Innovative startup incorporated in the USA after 2002 OR individual with a venture creation idea ready and wishing to “land” in a French incubator or Business Innovation Center (BIC)
- Innovation - Highly “proven” innovative technology or service (proof of concept, market studies, publications…)
- Activity - Related to industries such as IT, Biotech / Life Sciences/ Healthcare, Engineering Sciences, and general industries with an innovation component
- Maturity - Advanced Business Model, Identifiable market or technology partnership opportunities in France
- Interest - Strong interest in expanding activities to France and dedicating time to find potential opportunities and partners
